Looks like... Light brown hair frames a porcelain doll’s face, curling ever-so-slightly around striking light blue eyes which are wide and beautiful and eager. She is of a slight build, rather short but never stout. A beautiful girl, she’s what the boys want but can’t have.


The Heart of the Matter: Despite her “cute” appearance, Rabi has a sharp tongue and is quick to deliver a snappy insult to anyone she deems unworthy. Unworthy, according to Rabi, is defined as “not a Slytherin, and, with a few exceptions, not in my year or above.” Her attractions are based on appearance, fleeting, and rarely amount to anything, yet she is a closet romantic and believes in true love. She just hasn’t found it yet.

Rabi is a relatively good secret keeper, but some things simply must be told. However, she remains loyal to those few friends she truly cares about, and her dear sister.

Because of her dark past, Rabi finds herself jealous of anyone who speaks of their mother around her, and gets unusually moody, the only cure for this attitude being Romy’s company.

The young aristocrat was born to love knowledge, her mother telling her that it was what would prevent her from becoming an ornament. She strives for intellectual greatness, and studies a good deal more than her fellow snakes.

From early childhood, like most girls, she desired to be just like her mother; now that her mother is gone, she doesn’t want to disappoint her great memory. Rabi never quite grew out of dressing in mother’s clothes; to this day, she wears her makeup just like her mother did.


How Did You Get Here? The Lestrange family is, of course, extremely well-off and in the heart of society, having close relations with all other pure wizarding families, like the Blacks and the Malfoys. They originally hail from France, hence Rabi’s fluency in French. Most of the older members of the Lestrange line still reside in France, but Rabi, her father and mother, and her sister Romy decided to make the move to Britain. Rabi says this is because her parents were too kind to her to make her attend Beauxbatons.

Either way, Romy and Rabi now attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the middle of Rabi’s fifth year there, just after Christmas break, she and her sister received a letter that explained that their mother had passed away and the funeral was to be in three days. Of course they were excused to attend, and it was during the ceremonies that Rabi, in all her eavesdropping glory, discovered the circumstances; Rabi learned that her father and mother were Death Eaters, her mother being one of the Dark Lord's favored. She had been killed in the service, it seemed, her father claiming that he couldn't have saved her without being caught and sent to Azkaban. At this point, no one could prove that he was his wife's accomplice, though most suspected it.

Rabi told Romy as soon as they had privacy. They had learned the Dark magic they knew from their mother, and Romy intended to join her in the Dark Lord’s service, as did Rabi. Their father had always been mildly cruel to them and their mother Renee, but they had never known just how selfish he could be. Rabi has a rather sour outlook on men for this reason.
